John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek and John Muir Medical Center, Concord are designated Primary Stoke Centers, which means that patients experiencing symptoms of stroke anywhere in Contra Costa County can expect to receive expert care at either of our two hospitals. John Muir Health also treats patients from other areas throughout California whose local hospitals do not have the capability to treat highly acute stroke cases.
Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in adults in the United States and is the number one cause of long-term disability. Your gift in support of Neurosciences can help fund advanced technologies and equipment used by Neuroscience specialists to perform complex brain surgeries and deep tissue brain stimulation procedures.
